About this publication
An archive, not a sales page
This independent project preserves and organizes the documentary record around John Ellis water-treatment technology.
Purpose
The archive exists to make the record easier to inspect: patent lineage, first-party claims, testing documents, trademark history, and the federal warning letter. It is not affiliated with John Ellis Water, JohnEllis.com, the inventor, associated companies, or any product seller.
Editorial posture
Interesting technical history deserves careful preservation without promotional certainty or reflexive dismissal. The archive therefore distinguishes what was filed, what was claimed, what an agency said, and what still lacks independent verification.
Safety and health
Do not rely on this site to assess drinking-water safety, operate treatment equipment, modify pressure/electrical systems, or make health decisions. Use qualified laboratories, licensed professionals, and current public-health guidance.
Research status
The February 2026 corpus contains 92 source records and OCR for selected patents. Important gaps remain: independently authenticated lab reports, complete national-office patent histories, corporate records, and controlled replication evidence.
Where to begin
Start with the timeline, inspect the direct sources, then read the methodology before interpreting product or health claims.
